Interesting Marketing by Les Grands Ballets Canadiens

It kind of jumped out at me as I walked out of the coffee shop where I hang out sometimes...

Les Grands Ballets Canadiens had thrown some serious cash at Nightlife magazine (now rebranded to included the dot ca). Both an insert, and and fancy two-page advertisement with a card attached.

But someone needs to do some proof-reading for them, the insert offers discounts of up to 30%, while the card offers a discount of 40%. Hmmmm...

Which, if I understand correctly is designed as a money making cash grab fund raiser for Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. It appears to be aimed squarely at wealthy individuals who wouldn't want to associate with the hoi poloi. But what are the under 30s they are trying to target above, but the hoi poloi?

Hmmmm... We're going to have to keep an eye on this turn of events. It'll be interesting to see how this sudden surge in marketing works out.
