Santiago Calatrava crosses over

Howdy!

Besides dance, I also read some art blogs. Over at Art21, they discuss how Santiago Calatrava has been commissioned to design sets for the New York City Ballet.

Personally, it would have been nice if Caroline Lagnado mentioned a couple of more contemporary examples - and then going out on a limb. The one that intrigues me the most is the collaboration next season between Paul-André Fortier and Rober Racine at L'Agora de la Danse. It's all well and fine to get an artist (or architect) to make pretty things, but it's another thing entirely to get them to dance.
