Or else is isn't as hot as it was back in the 80s. If you have a short memory, back in May a bunch of Canadian (and many Quebecois) Dance companies went over to Italy to perform at the Festival Internazionale di Danza Contemporanea. Judith Mackrell, the Guardian's dance critic went, had a good time, and wrote two articles about her visit (one and two).
She doesn't have a gosh darn thing to say about any of the performances from this continent. Hmmmm.
